| Specially designed for use with
a Touchbar Unit, the 409 Outside Access Device features a locking knob
and can be used with any of the Touchbar units providing access from outside
while maintaining the emergency exit function from the inside. This device
is non-handed and supplied with two keys and a standard cylinder that
cannot be supplied master keyed.
Construction
Diecast aluminium body and knob.
Finishes
Silver only with a choice of epoxy powder coated granite silver, gold,
back or white available on request. Plated finishes are also available.
Performance
When locked, the mechanism is disengaged, allowing the knob to freely
rotate. When unlocked, the knob, spindle and mechanism engage allowing
the Pullman Catches, or the Deadlocking Latch, to be withdrawn until the
knob is re-locked.
Fixing
Surface mounted on the outside of the door using concealed machine
screws. Full fitting instructions provided. The Exidor 409 is supplied
as standard for doors up to 70mm thick. A longer spindle is available
on request for doors over 70mm in thickness.
